Chris and I began the year determined to walk along a healthy route.
So far, we’ve:
- Ditched plastic water bottles and tupperware and opted for glass water bottles and glass wear to pack lunches and store left overs.
- Gutted our regular shampoo, conditioner, lotion, deodorant, soap, etc. and started using natural, organic hygiene products. *pat on the back.
- No medicine, no tylenol, midol, halls, cough syrup. And when we’re feeling a little under the weather we started adding vitamin c crystals into our water.
- We’ve opted for coconut oil and raw, organic shea butter vs. regular lotion (and I must say, my hands feel much, MUCH better).
- Natural detergents, dish soap, toilet bowl cleaners, dish washing tablets and house hold cleaners.
- I’ve been eating organic spinach for lunch. (One meal of the day at a time, lunch is when I’m the most hungry. Best start with that, haha) Snacks include organic fruit, organic nuts, quinoa, organic veggies, etc. Pretty tasty, I must say.
- We’ve been buying organic eggs, soy milk.. etc.
- NO MORE pop, cookies, chips, mc donalds, no more mall food court food.
Next step?
- Toaster oven vs. microwave. (Oh man.. this is going to be a toughy!)
- CUT COFFEE INTAKE.
- Minimize refined sugar intake.
- Buy organic meat.
- Cook full HEALTHY meals.
- Exercise. Womp womp.

So, the first month had a lot of changes. But I give Chris and I a pat on the back! Cheers! A BIG thanks goes out to Maples Chiro for pushing us to wanting to better our lifestyle. :D
